Cleaning Cashmere Sweaters
- Hand wash in lukewarm water using a mild soap.
Be sure to dissolve all of the cleaner thoroughly
and then put the sweater into the water. After
washing, be sure to rinse until the water is
clear. Then lay the sweater out flat away from
heat and sun. Reshape the side seams and sleeves
if necessary, as some sweaters will twist during
washing.
- Air fluff with no heat.
- Sweaters should be washed after approximately
6-7 wearings to keeps them looking their best.
- You can dry clean cashmere, however, if you
do it on a regular basis it can reduce the life
of the garment.

Storage
- Always store your sweater in either a cedar
chest or plastic bags to keep them moth free.
Moths may also go after any food particles that
may be on the garment, so it is very important
to keep your garments clean.
- Do not use a hanger to hang your sweater.
Using a hanger will cause the sweater to loose
its shape.
